EXPENDITURE ON ROADS
COUNTIES’ ASSOCIATION SCHEME. MOTOR UNION’S OPPOSITION. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, November 4. Opposition to the scheme advanced by the New Zealand Counties’ Association for a £ for £ subsidy on the expenditure on roads other than main highways was expressed in a resolution carried at a meeting of the North Island Motor Union executive, adhering to the view that the completion of the main highways scheme as originally planned was the first consideration.
