MEDICAL STUDY

CURRICULUM REFORM ABROAD.

PATHOLOGIST’S OBSERVATIONS.

(Per United Press Association.)

Wellington, August 19. Dr P. P. Lynch, pathologist at the Wellington Hospital and director of the Government vaccine station, returned to Wellington by the Marama. Mr Lynch visited pathological laboratories in Britain and the Continent and also visited the Government lymph establishments at London and Milan. In most medical schools in Britain which he visited the question of the modification and reform of the medical curriculum was being considered. The general view seemed to be that it was better for each school to maintain its own individuality in respect to its curriculum and not to accept too readily wide alterations in the course of studies. Everywhere one heard complimentary references to the high academic and professional standing of those newly qualified New Zealand medical graduates who visited Britain, and Dr. Lynch.
