TRUNK AIR ROUTES
POSITION OF PALMERSTON NORTH.
DEMAND FOR INCLUSION.
(Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, August 13.
Following a lengthy discussion in committee on the question of Palmerston North possibly being left out of the itinerary of any company promoting an inter-island trunk air service, the Chamber of Commerce to-day resolved that the Transport Co-ordination Board be advised that it is the considered opinion of the chamber that in view of its geographical position and commercial importance the city of Palmerston North should be included as a port of call in the main trunk aerial routes of the Dominion.
