RECENT DEVELOPMENTS. TREATMENT OF DIABETES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, August 12. Di- Ewen, formerly medical superintendent of the Wellington Hospital, returned from a post-graduate study in Britain to-day. He stated that a recent striking development was surgery of the chest for diseases of the lung such as tuberculosis, but it was only of value in certain selected cases. Regarding diabetes he said there were very good results from insulin plus a more liberal diet than was allowed when insulin was first discovered.
