AIRCRAFT INDUSTRY
DEVELOPMENT IN AUSTRALIA.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.10 p.m.) Melbourne, August 12. Plans for the development in Australia of a complete aircraft building industry, including the manufacture of engines, are being prepared by the Defence Department. The secretary states that the Commonwealth acquired the manufacturing rights of Hawker Demon fighting machines and Seagull amphibians recently purchased in England.
