The Nawab of Pataudi will probably be captain and may also captain India in unofficial Tests. TOUR APPROVED AUSTRALIAN TEAM FOR INDIA. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Calcutta, August 12. The Board of Control at a meeting at Bombay decided to approve of the Australian cricket team’s personnel and visit. Bengal has been asked for a smaller guarantee for its Australian matches. Mr Tarrant, expressing satisfaction that the India Board of Control had accepted his team, said: “I am taking a jolly strong team—evidently far stronger- than India suspects. When we get to Calcutta we will ‘give ’em socks.’ I will give £lOO to Indian charity if the Calcutta team beats mine.”
