CHANGES IN ORGANIZATION. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, August 10. The British Broadcasting Corporation has announced that in view of recent adjustments and impending changes in its organization and the inauguration of a television service, ViceAdmiral Sir Charles Carpenter, who has been controller of administration since the foundation of the corporation, has had his term of office extended and will stay on as deputy director-general. The vacant post of controller will be filled by Mr B. Nicholls.
