BALTIC CRUISE
ENGLISH SCHOOLBOYS. EDUCATIONAL EXPERIMENT. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, August 10. On Monday 836 boys from primary and central schools in England, accompanied by 280 teachers, leave on a twelve days’ cruise to the Baltic, the tour having been organized by the School Journeys Association. This is the first cruise arranged for elementary schoolboys and is in the nature of an educational experiment with the object of putting the stimulus of interest and imagination behind a book knowledge of geography and of promoting an understanding of foreign pe<»ples. The boys will spend three days in and around Oslo, during which visit the party will broadcast songs from an Oslo station. The majority of the boys are from London, but a number will come from northern areas.
