WOMEN’S DIVISION
HEDGEHOPE BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Hedgehope branch of the W.D.F.U. was held on July 11, Mrs Young presiding over a fair attendance of members. The response to the roll-call, uses of a lemon, revealed some useful hints. Misses Coster and Evans gave an outline of the programme of the Girls’ Educational Week, for which a vote of thanks was tendered on the motion of Mrs Leebody. In the competition for an article knitted from two skeins of Aotea wool, the results were:—Miss McKay 1, Mrs McKay 2, Miss Diack 3. The Best Bloom competition was won by Mrs Leebody. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses, Mrs Leebody, Miss Kania and Miss McKay.
