FAST FLYING
JUNKERS PASSENGER PLANE. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) Berlin, June 16. A remarkable flying record has been established by an ordinary threeengined Junkers passenger machine which journeyed from Cairo to Berlin, a distance of 2000 miles, in 21 hours, including landings at Athens, Budapest and Bremen. It covered the 700 miles from Cairo to Athens in four hour’s. LONDON TO MOSCOW FLIGHT TO TAKE 17 HOURS. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.40 p.m.) London, June 17. The aviation correspondent of the Daily Herald says that German and Russian companies have combined to organize a service which will bring Moscow within 17 hours of London. It is hoped soon to reduce the flying time to 12 hours. TO MOROCCO AND BACK CAPTAIN PERCIVAL’S FLIGHT. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 12.5 a.m.) London, June 17. Captain E, W. Percival, flying a Gull three-seater monoplane left Gravesend at 1.30 a.m. in an attempt to fly to Oran (Morocco) and back the same day. He reached Oran at 8.40 a.m., covering over 1300 miles at a speed of 180 miles an hour. He hopes to return to CrOyden at 6.30 p.m.
