LOVELOCK’S VICTORY
EMPIRE DELIGHTED. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.30 j.m.) xxmdon, June 17. The Morning Post says that J. E. Lovelock’s victory was received with delight throughout the Empire, _ but especially in New Zealand. Given perfect conditions, Lovelock, who carries less weight than Nurmi, should be capable of running a mile in 4min 4sec.
