BIG CHANGES

BROADCASTING CORPORATION. RHODES SCHOLAR IN NEW JOB. London, May 30. The Daily Mail understands that revolutionary changes are to take place in the administration of the Broadcasting Corporation, involving new radio relations with the Dominions. Mr Gladstone Murray, at present Director of Information and Personal Relations, will add to his present duties the full responsibility for all radio talks and also Empire broadcasting negotiations with the Dominions. Mr Cecil Graves, at present Director of Empire and Foreign Service, will become co-ordinator of the corporation’s activities. The Daily Mail expects Mr Murray to radically change the Empire programmes, as he is a Canadian Rhodes Scholar with strong Imperial views. He personally planned the Jubilee broadcasts. The changes will operate in October, and will involve other administrative reconstruction, which is rousing a storm in Broadcasting House.
