STRIKE AVERTED
MR ROOSEVELT INTERVENES. MINERS’ COMPLAINTS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) New York, June 15. A coal strike which threatened to start on Friday was averted at the last minute by the personal intervention of Mr Roosevelt, who negotiated an agreement affecting 450,000 miners ( for 30 days, in which time the adminis'ration hopes to pass legislation to meet the complaints of the workers.
