SPANISH GRANDEES
RETURN OF CONFISCATED ESTATES. PRESSURE BROUGHT ON GOVERNMENT. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Madrid, June 14. All Spanish grandees’ estates confiscated by the Azana Government after the monarchist rising in August, 1932, are to be restored or paid for as the result of pressure brought by the Rightists on the Government. A Bill will be introduced in the Cortes providing that each case be investigated. Meanwhile, 4 per cent, interest will be paid to former owners till a decision is reached. The area involved is 200,000 acres, on which 50,000 people have been settled.
