LEGAL FIRM SUED
ACTION BY WATERSIDER.
(Per United Press Association.)
Wellington, June 13.
In the case in which a legal firm is being sued by a watersider, the statement of defence claimed that plaintiff appointed Carvosso as his attorney and whatever was done was done by Carvosso as attorney for which his employers were not liable. At the conclusion of plaintiff's, case, the Judge pointed out the necessity of the statement of accounts being prepared. A legal firm had undertaken the keeping of plaintiff’s estate and it was, the Judge said, the duty of the firm to prepare such statement. The Court adjourned to enable counsel representing the parties to confer in regard to the taking of accounts which the Judge stated would be required unless there were substantial agreements on various items.
