CUT RESTORED
CITY COUNCIL EMPLOYEES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 13. Restoration of five per cent., the balance of salaries and wages deducted at the time of the first 10 per cent, cut to take effect from July 1, was agreed to by the City Council to-night. An amendment by Labour that the restoration should apply only to in receipt of £350 a year and under was lost, as was a further amendment that in the case of these employees, restoration should be retrospective to April 1.
