KING’S INDISPOSITION CERTAIN ENGAGEMENTS CANCELLED SOCIAL FUNCTIONS (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, June 12. The Queen returned to Buckingham Palace this afternoon from Sandringham, where the King, who is slightly indisposed, will remain for the present. The King has been compelled to cancel certain of his engagements. These included a visit to the opera, where the American prima donna Miss Grace Moore is appearing in “La Boheme, and the Court ball to-morrow, at which the Prince of Wales will lead the Queen into the white and gold ballroom of Buckingham Palace in place of the K Much disappointment will be caused owing to the inability of the King to attend the Ascot race meeting next week, but other members of the Royal Family will be present and the usual procedure for Ascot week will be carried out. . , The Queen will take up residence at Windsor Castle on Saturday. The King’s indisposition is not serious and he was able to take an hours motoring drive in Sandringham this afternoon. SATISFACTORY PROGRESS. (United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.)
