WORLD PEACE
RETURNED SOLDIERS’ SUGGESTION. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, June 12 Agreeing that in the interests of world peace allied and enemy exservicemen could accomplish more than the world’s statesmen by holding an international conference, the Dunedin R.S.A. decided to forward a remit to the forthcoming New Zealand conference urging that such an international meeting be held to create better contact among nations. CONSCRIPTION OF RESOURCES DUNEDIN REMIT. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, June 12. A recommendation that in the event of war the whole of the Dominion’s economic resources be mobilized as well as the men is a remit forwarded hy the Dunedin branch to the R.S.A. conference. Mr J. G. Jeffrey suggested that the economic resources should be conscripted as the men were, so that those at home would bear some of the burden with those on active service. A member interjected amid laughter and applause, that there would be no war then.
