SALE OF WORK
ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH. A sale of work was held by the lady members of the St. Andrew’s Church congregation at South Invercargill yesterday afternoon and evening. Mr O. Smith, Mayor of South Invercargill, opened the display, and the numbers who patronized it during both session? were sufficiently great to ensure its success. The stall-holders were: Fancy, Mesdames Carswell, Boyd and Cowie; plain, Mrs Grenfell; apron, Mesdames Richards and McChesney; produce Mesdames Imbs, McKenzie and Walker; sweets, Mesdames ShuttleWoi-th and Gardiner and Miss Feil; cakes, Mesdames Wilson and Brown; dips, Mrs Walker. At the evening session music was provided by an orchestra under Mr L. Jones.
