A very interesting afternoon was spent at the last meeting of the Arts and Crafts Circle of the Southland Women’s Club on Wednesday afternoon, June 5, when Mrs F. C. Beere, Ness street, demonstrated the making of chamois gloves. Several members had gloves cut out for them by Mrs Beere, while others took patterns. After afternoon tea was served a vote of thanks was accorded Mrs Beere. Those present were Mesdames F. C. Beere. W. H. Slater, T. F. Gilkison, E. K. Mills, W. G. Tait, T. D. Pearce, C. F. Hackworth, Randle, Cochrane, Roy Anderson, T. A. Clark, T. P. Semmens, A. F. Parfitt, Misses C. McLeod, M. C. Cowap and 0. Rein.
