WINTON
Miss Thompson, Albert street, has returned from an extended holiday spent in Waimate, where she was the guest of her sister, Mrs Cleland. Miss N. McKerrow, Mataura, spent a few days in Winton last week. Mrs Mabin Smith, Oreti, returned last week from a holiday spent in Dunedin.
Mr and Mrs F. Cowie, Matai, were visitors to Dunedin last week.
There was a good attendance at the R.S.A. euchre party held in the club rooms on Thursday evening last. The prize-winners were Mrs J. Mcllwrick and Mr M. Pasco. Mr and Mrs W. Collett and Miss Hazel Collett, Forest Hill, were the week-end guests of Mrs W. Allison. Drummond.
Mrs Cameron, Mataura Island, has been visiting her mother, Mrs J. Brown, Albert street. ' Mr and Mrs J. L. Hazlett, “Gretna Green,” Oreti, have returned from a holiday spent in Dunedin. Miss P. Balch, Park street, spent a few days at Lochiel last week. Miss Dorothy Sutton, “The Willows,” Otapiri, is visiting Dunedin. Miss Apstein, Park street, is visiting Dunedin.
Mrs J. Moore, Gisborne, is the guest of Mrs C. D. Moore, East Winton.
Miss Molly McPherson, Invercargill, was the guest of Miss Dorothy Walker, Arthur street, for a few days last week.
Miss Nancy Mcllwrick, Browns, has been spending a holiday in Dunedin. Mr and Mrs Adam Wilson, Roxburgh, were visitors to Winton last week and were the guests of Mrs R. M. Gilmour, Park street. Visitors to Dunedin for the races last week included Mr and Mrs M. Kean (South Hillend), Mr and Mrs W. Swale (Limehills), Mr and Mrs D. H. McLean (Caroline), Mr and Mrs J. L. Hazlett (Oreti) and Mr and Mrs T. McGillivfay. .
