Messrs J. Wood (Wellington), D. Ball (Dunedin), C. Gaylor (Dunedin), and W. H. Foley (Dunedin), are at the Grand Hotel.
Sir James Grose, general manager of the National Bank of New. Zealand, Ltd., who has been paying a brief visit to Invercargill, left for Dunedin by yesterday afternoon’s express.
Miss M. Poland, formerly supervisor of the Invercargill Telephone Exchange, has left on transfer for New Plymouth. Miss E. Barry, of New Plymouth, has commenced duties at Invercargill in the position held by Miss Poland.
The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, is due to leave London on his return to New Zealand at the end of this month. The date of the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates’s departure will depend on the progress of the meat discussions.
