BLUFF COURT
YESTERDAY’S SITTING. A sitting of the Bluff Court was held yesterday before Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M. Judgment for plaintiffs by default was given in the following civil cases: Nichol Bros. v. Abner Russell, £2B 14/3 and costs £1 10/-; estate of Dr. A. A. Stewart v. Robert Allen, £5 5/- and costs £1 5/6; L. P. Denton v. Eric Wiig, £2 10/7 and costs £1 5/6; estate of Dr. A. A. Stewart v. G. Seeley, £1 5/- and costs 8/-. Five youths, four of whom pleaded guilty, were charged with cycling on the footpath. Three were admonished and discharged and two were ordered to pay costs amounting to 10/-.
