BUS LEAVES ROAD
PASSENGERS ESCAPE INJURY. MAILS RESCUED. (Per United Press Association.) New Plymouth, June 6. When the steering gear locked on a bend of the Inglewood to Purangi road, a mail motor bus with six passengers crashed over a bank and burst into flames. All the passengers and the driver escaped injury. The mail was rescued, but goods and parcels destroyed Efforts to extinguish the flames were fruitless. One passenger received slight burns on the hands.
