CHURCH BAZAAR
NORTH INVERCARGILL. The bazaar in aid of the Presbyterian Church held in the North Invercargill Public Hall on Wednesday afternoon and evening proved most successful. It was officially opened by Mr J. S. Baxter. 'J?he following were the stall-holders: Produce, Mrs Smith and Mrs Henderson; sweets, Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Speirs; apron stall, Mrs Anderson and Mrs Nicholas; plain needlework, Mrs McAlister, Mrs Mullan and Mrs Tanner; fancy needlework, choir and Young Women’s Bible Class; cake, Mrs Sutherland and Miss Officer; flower. Mrs Laytham and Miss Lankskaill; tearooms, Mrs Bell, Mrs Pullar, Mrs Hazlett, Mrs Sparks and Mrs Kerr; dips, Mr Whyte. In the evening there were various competitions and also a short programme by the following: Pianoforte solo, Linley Skipworth; recitation, Shirley Lilley; song, Lindsay King; recitation, Ngaire Skipworth; dance, Shirley and Beverley Lilley; recitation, Shirley King; duet, Linley Skipworth and Coreen Hutchison; recitation, Mervyn Mclndoe; Dutch dance, Shirley and Beverley Lilley; song, Roberta Marshall; recitation, Alma Ferguson; Irish Jig, Kathleen Winter; recitation, Nellie Laytham; Highland Dance, Miss Gregory; bagpipe selection, Mr Gordon Henderson; bagpipe selection. Mr C. Wil,son; ventriloquist, Mr Cheyne. .
