DEFENCE MINISTER
VISIT TO AUCKLAND. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, June 4. The Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Defence,’was present at the official test of the Vildebeeste bomber aircraft at the Hobsonville Air Base this morning. In the afternoon the Minister presided at a conference on defence administration held between the General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Defence Forces, Major-General Sir William Sinclair Burgess, the Commodore Commanding the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, Captain the Hon. E; R. Drummond, and executive officers of the Defence and Naval departments. After attending to a number of matters connected with several departments under his control, Mr Cobbe will leave for Wellington by the Limited express tomorrow.
