FRONTIER INCIDENT
ITALIAN POLICE POST. ATTACK BY ABYSSINIANS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rome, June 3. Following an Abyssinian attack 'on the police post at Uebescebelli, 30 ItaloEritrean subjects were killed and thousands of cattle captured. Twenty armed Abyssinians on the same day attacked an Italian outpost at Gublei. They refused to halt and opened fire, which the Italians returned killing 10 Abyssinians. The news of fresh frontier incidents aroused resentment and excitement throughout the city, where crowds cheered wildly when detachments of troops wearing colonial helmets marched through the streets. Officials declare that they are incapable of properly policing the frontier.
