PROGRESS IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m’) Rugby, May 1. The money value of retail trade sales in March was only 0.6 per cent, higher than in March, 1934. The later Easter this year delayed the pre-holiday business expansion. For February and March the sales exceeded those for the corresponding period last year by 2.5 per cent. Employment at the end of March was 1.6 per cent, greater than a year ago.
