CRITICISM OF “POLITICAL CONTROL.” CONCLUSION OF CONFERENCE. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, March 14. Strong criticism of “political control over economic activities” was voiced by Mr A. Dennison (president) in an address at the 27th annual conference of the Federation of Master Printers of New Zealand, which concluded today. “This process of subordination to political and bureaucratic control,” he' said, “would continue until citizens asserted their independence and not only refrained from asking Government control, but united in resisting its encroachment into their affairs.” Mr Dennison was confident that the printing industry in New Zealand would make sounder progress toward recovery if it relied on its own efforts rather than if it submitted to any form of State reorganization and regulation.
