ANNIVERSARY DAY

SYDNEY CELEBRATIONS. (United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright). (Rec. 10.5 p.m.) Sydney, January 28. The main attraction of the Anniversary Day holiday was the ninety-ninth annual regatta on the harbour. A myriad of small craft, yachts, launches, speedboats and skiffs took part in the various events.. R.M.S. Ormonde acted as the flagship, while also to be seen was an old paddlewheel boat. Yachtsmen enjoyed the conditions, the strong north-easter being ideal for racing, but most of the rowing events were postponed owing to the choppy water.
