TOWN OF CLONCURRY DAMAGED

SIX PEOPLE INJURED

(United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) Brisbane, January 26. A number of persons narrowly escaped death and many thousands pounds’ worth of damage was done by a storm which struck Cloncurry last night. The storm, which was the most disastrous in the town’s history, completely wrecked some homes and badly damaged .others. At the height of the storm the phenomenon of wind, hail, dust, and heavy rainstorms raging simultaneously occurred. Trees and telegraph' and telephone wires are down in all directions. Six people were admitted to hospital.
