At the Royal Society of Medicine debate, Mr Richard Berry said it had been proved that at least two-thirds of the mental defectives had small heads. Dr R. MacKenzie Stewart said that mental deficiency manifested itself as much in the body as the brain. Mental defectives were nearly always undersized, but this, need not establish any prejudice in favour of very tall, largeheaded persons. Men with massive heads do not necessarily represent the intelligentsia.
