A meeting of Liberal Party leaders presided over by Sir Herbert Samuel gave a very cordial welcome to Mr Lloyd George’s campaign, being convinced of its value as a stimulus which it supplies. The meeting noted with special satisfaction that Mr Lloyd George put in the forefront the need for a reduction in the barriers to international trade which, in their view, were the main cause of continuing unemployment.
