SCHOOL JUBILEE

GRAND BALL AT KENNINGTON.

Some 400 people assembled at the hall on Friday night to take part in the grand ball, the last function of the jubilee celebrations. The music was supplied by the Troubadours Band and Messrs W. Henderson, A. Sutherland and J. Alexander were M.C.’s. The grand march was lead off by the two oldest pupils present, Mrs Barraclough and Mr C. Dawson. There was not sufficient room for everyone present to take part in the grand march. At an interval a three-tier ice-cream cake, generously donated by Mr. M. Simon, an ex-pupil, was brought into the hall and cut up and distributed to the dancers by the jubilee committee. Throughout the functions the school committee have helped in every way possible, the members of it being: Messrs R. J. A. Clarks, chairman, D. McQueen, secretary, A. Henderson, A. Sutherland, L.
