PRIMARY INDUSTRIES EXECUTIVE COMMISSION OF AGRICULTURE THE PERSONNEL (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, January 23. The personnel of the Executive Commission of Agriculture was announced to-day. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes) stated that the Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe) had been pleased to make the following appointments:— Mr Justice Frazer, President of the Arbitration Court. David Jones, Chairman of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. George Andrew Duncan, Secretary of the Hawera Dairy Company. Mr Justice Frazer is to be deputy chairman of the commission, the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. C. E. MacMillan) being statutory chairman. Mr Forbes expressed his confidence in the qualifications of the appointees for discharging the duties and responsibilities of the commission and said he felt sure that the appointments would give general satisfaction. Mi’ Justice Frazer’s connection as chairman of the Dairy Industry Commission had given him a thorough insight into the difficulties and problems with which the dairy farmer was faced at present. Mr David Jones’s long association with the Meat Board eminently fitted him for appointment, and Mr Duncan was generally recognized as a competent authority on matters affecting the dairy industry. Mr Forbes said that the appointment of a successor to Mr Justice Frazer as Judge of the Arbitration Court would be announced shortly.
