VICTORIAN ASSEMBLY
EXTENSION OF LIFE TO FIVE YEARS. QUESTION FOR ELECTORS. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) Melbourne, January 23. The State Cabinet has adopted the proposal by the Premier, Sir Stanley Argyle, that the electors at the State elections on March 2 should be asked to agree to an extension of the life of the Assembly from three to five years on the ground that the present brief term is an unsettling factor in both the political and economic life.
