KENNINGTON NOTES

1.0.0. F. (From Our Correspondent.) At the fortnightly lodge meeting held in the hall on Monday night, Bro. E. Barter N.G. presided. Correspondence was read from the Grand Lodge of Dunedin regarding checking quarterly return, which was found correct and a series of questions and answers relating to lodge matters. A letter was received from the Friendly Insurance Society regarding insurance on dewellings, personal effects and motor cars at less than net rates to lodge members. It was decided to get as many present as possible to attend at the next meeting to discuss particulars concerning the lodge’s 21st birthady party to be held next month. A church lodge parade is to be • held at Myross Bush Church, the ladies’ Rebekah Lodge being invited to join in. The Rev. H. Thomson journeyed to Dunedin during the week to attend the General Assembly. His charge over the week-end will be taken by Mr James. ' Last Saturday evening Mr W. Henderson invited a number of his friends along to his new residence to a house warming. Some 40 turned up and spent an enjoyable evening with wireless music, bagpipe selections, story and song.
