ACTION FOR DIVORCE
WIFE ARGUES OWN APPEAL. PARTIALLY SUCCESSFUL. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, June 7. Mrs Rose, wife of a barrister, Hubert Allen Rose, whom she married at Dunedin in 1913 and afterwards lived in London, who has argued her own divorce appeal before the House of Lords for the past three days, has succeeded in part of her case. Lord Blanesburgh indicated that the Court intended to reverse the Court of Appeal’s decision which supported the grant to the husband of a decree on the ground of her alleged misconduct with an American, Charles Murray, who has since died. Lord Blanesburgh said the Court held that she had not been _ proved guilt’’’ of misconduct, but that it could not deal with a wife’s appeal on the question of the restitution -of conjugal rights. This would be adjourned to give the parties an opportunity to reach an arrangement.
