KENNINGTON NOTES
CHEESE OUTPUT SOLD. (From Our Correspondent.) Mr A. Hain and Mr W. G. Moncur, two directors of the local cheese factory, journeyed to Dunedin during the week to attend the annual Daily conference and to support a remit concerning the financing by the Government of the installing of milk coolers for dairy farmers. The factory directors have sold all the make of cheese to the end of the season and also what is in store at 5 l-16d per lb. The combined School Committee and the Women’s Institute are holding a series of euchre and dance evenings in the school. The first of the series took place on Thursday night when a large number attended. The ladies prize went to Miss M. Burgess and the men’s to Mr A. Henderson with the consolation prize to Mr Burgess and Mrs Todd. At the end of the season a prize will be given for the highest aggregate score. After supper had been served by the ladies the floor was cleared for dancing.
