MINERS TRAPPED
EXPLOSION IN COLLIERY. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 10.20 p.m.) Tokio, April 9. A gas explosion occurred at Fukushima colliery, near Fukushima city, and between 50 and 150 miners were trapped behind a raging furnace. Rescuers are feverishly trying to bring them to safety.
