RELIEF WORKS
BIG PROGRAMME IN N.S.W. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 10.10 p.m.) Sydney, April 6. At the United Australia Party convention to-day the announcement was made that the New South Wales Government had arranged to spend £B,500,000 on relief works through the Water Sewerage Board and the Irrigation Commission. It was stated that 75,000 men were at present employed on various relief works.
