REDS IN BULGARIA
SEVEN TO BE EXECUTED. seditiouFactivities. Sofia, December 28. Seven men have been sentenced to death as a result of the renewal of the campaign against Communists in Bulgaria. Eighteen persons were condemned to long terms in a workhouse as a punishment for seditious activities. The sentences concluded the mass trial of 36 Reds in Schumen. The condemned men were found guilty of having distributed propaganda and formed “red cells” in the city garrison. Eleven of those accused were acquitted.
