STACKS DESTROYED
SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION. (Per United Press Association.) Nelson, January 8. A striking instance of spontaneous combustion in hay occurred on E. F. Wastney’s farm at Wakapuka on Saturday evening when 60 tons of hay in a shed ignited at 6 p.m. and a 30-ton stack nearby was destroyed by a similar cause eight hours later.
