LEAGUE OF NATIONS
RUSSIA ANXIOUS TO JOIN.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.35 p.m.) London, January 8. The Daily Herald says that secret negotiations are going on in. Moscow and Paris to discover whether it is possible to bring Russia into the League of Nations. This follows the recent speeches of M. Stalin and M. Morotov. The negotiations thus far suggest that the difficulties in the way of Russia joining the League are in no way insuperable.
