KING CAROL GUARDED
MADAME LUPESCU LEAVES.
DEVELOPMENT IN RUMANIA.
(United Pres; Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Bucharest, January 4.
While one train was speeding through the night carrying M. Titulescue back to hear King Carol’s offer of a dictatorship, which would doom him to be number one on the Iron Guards’ black list, another train was whisking abroad Madame Lupescu under an assumed name.
Meanwhile King Carol remains locked and guarded in Sinaia Palace, where Madame Lupescu was recently staying. There is strong suspicion that the Iron Guard is obtaining ample arms from the State arsenals.
