CONVERSATIONS AT ROME.
SATISFIED WITH VISIT.

(Rec. 7 p.m.) London, January 5 At the conclusion of their conversations Sir John Simon, the Foreign Secretary, gave a banquet to Signor Mussolini at the British Embassy after which a communique was issued. It stated that they have examined the major questions of general policy, particularly disarmament and the reform of the League, and agreed that the disarmament discussions should be concluded as soon as possible. Sir John Simon is leaving for home to-day. It is understood he is satisfied with his visit.
