ESPIONAGE PLOT
GANG IN EUROPE.
MARIE LOUISE INVOLVED. London, December 23. The police allege that Marie Louise, the mystery woman who figured in the Baillie-Stewart case, was also involved in the espionage plot that has resulted in the arrest of Nadia Stahl, the beautiful and erudite Russian, and 11 others. They say that Marie Louise was always meeting Nadia Stahl, who married the Russian Baron von Stahl in 1911, and with whom she stayed at the best hotels in every capital of Europe. The marriage was dissolved in 1925, when Nadia Stahl became acquainted with Professor Martin, of the French Ministry of Marine, who succumbed to her influences.
The police assert that the organization had branches throughout the world, including Japan and ’.he United States, collecting military and naval information for sale to different national secret services.
Nadia Stahl and Marie Louise, they allege, guided the European activities, including those in Britain.
