PURCHASING POWER
DOMINION INCREASES.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, December 28.
Australia’s purchasing power has increased by 16.17 per cent, during the past three months compared with New Zealand’s 8.4, Canada's II.G, India’s 12.9 and South Africa’s 19.2, says Mr F. J. Blackmore, past president of the National Chamber of Trade. South Africa’s more favourable position has been due to the heavy appreciation in the price of gold.
