OBITUARY
MR H. W. FOWLER. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) London, December 28. The death has occurred of Mr Henry Watson Fowler, aged 75. Mr Fowler was assistant master at Sedbergh from 1882 to 1899. Since 1899 he has been writing translations, essays and dictionaries. His publications included “More Popular Fallacies,” “The King’s English,” “Concise Oxford Dictionary,” “Pocket Oxford Dictionary,” “Modern English Usage,” and “Some Comparative Values.”
