HAMPSHIRE STORY
REJECTION BY ADMIRALTY.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, December 18. Further inquiry at the Admiralty elicited an emphatic rejection of the Hampshire story.
It was previously reported that secret German salvage operations were being carried out at the spot where the Hampshire sank in 1916 with Lord Kitchener on board.
